Current events - More anger over a newspaper ad than over a lie into war

Lt. John Kerry, Navy - Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart(3)

Capt. Max Cleland, Army - Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart

Gen. Wesley Clark, Army - Legion of Merit(4), Silver Star, Bronze Star(2), Purple Heart

Capt. John McCain, Navy - Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart

Lt. James Webb, Marines - Navy Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star(2), Purple Heart(2)

Each of these men, at one point or another, have had their military records attacked.
In many cases by many of the same people decrying the MoveOn attack on Gen. Petraeus.

Media - ATandT Censors Pearl Jam concert

AT&T... that bastion of free speech, decided it wanted to protect us all from the obscenity laced concert Pearl Jam did during the "Blue Room" Live Lollapalooza Webcast.

The obscenity?

During the performance of "Daughter" the following lyrics were sung to the tune of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" but were cut from the webcast:

- "George Bush, leave this world alone." (the second time it was sung); and

- "George Bush find yourself another home."

No biggie, you say? It's their webcast to do with what they want, you say? Sure is. But remember... these are the same fuckwad corporations that want to put net neutrality on it's ass so they can censor (but lowering bandwidth) ANYTHING you or I or anyone else put on the internet.

Fuck AT&T. There... censor THAT!

Current events - FISA and you.

Complicated? No!

Here's the short version...

ALBERTO GONZALES, liar, loyal Bushie and attorney general of the Corporate States of America, can listen to your phone calls and read your email with NO judicial or congressional oversight.

And your democratic majority in congress said it was just fine and dandy with them!

See? Simple.

Current events - Just to recap

The Supreme Court has decided that free speech is entirely too free, unless of course you are a corporation or a religious organization, then it's open season.

Short version is the first amendment applies only to those who donated to the Bush campaign.
